frequently asked questions

Do you travel for sessions?

I sure do! There is just a travelling fee added to the total cost, but I have no problem at all with it!

Do you send out RAWS?

Unfortunately the answer is no, the reason my work is so unique has to do with how I shoot, but also with how I edit. It plays a big part into how I like things to look. You choose to work with a photographer’s who’s editing style fits yours, and raws just don’t play out that way.

Do you photograph extended families?

I used to when I started, but no longer do. I find that I am best at capturing intimate, small and younger families. They're are definitely photographers out there that do a fantastic job at this, but it's just not for me.

What do you suggest for colour scheme?

Earth tones all the way. Colours such as greens, browns, creams, etc.
These colours work really well with my edits and just pop. I also don’t mind a pop of colour either, but would also add in neutrals so it tones it down a bit. I also do tend say to stay away from crazy patterns as it can be very distracting.

How many photos will I be receiving?

If you decide to purchase minis its anywhere between 20-30 images. The full sessions tend to include much more, anywhere between 50-100 photos. Keep in mind these are both just estimates so you can get an idea.

What if my kids act out during a session?

Honestly? We will take it as it comes. No stress at all, children tend to lead the session and we make the best out of it. Have lots of laughs, and incorporate tons of movement so the children tend to forget about my presence. We can never predict the outcome, but there is always a way and I promise its going to be okay. I will capture those precious moments for you, don’t worry about a thing.

Can we incorporate animals into a session?

OF COURSE! Thats not a problem at all, I am very much an animal person and think it adds character.

How do you deliver your galleries?

Usually through a free app named DropBox, sometimes also Pixie set. Both extremely easy to use and download photos on.

Where do you recommend we shop for the shoot?

For women, men and children Zara and H&M are perfect. For just men, Jack and Jones has some great neutrals and fit so well. For women I also recommend Aritzia, Free People and Anthropologie if you want to pamper yourself a little, they have such beautiful clothing. Hats are also a YES for a session, they add just a little bit of extra to your session and you won’t regret it. For these I recommend GIGI PIP as they have excellent choices and last forever. Theres also H&M and Zara that sell some great choices.

Will you make an exception and change your editing style for my session?

Unfortunately not, if you have something other than my edits in mind I recommend going to someone else. Just so you are happy and not disappointed after receiving the photos. If you take a look at my instagram you will get a really good idea on how I edit photos. Tend to be a bit warmer, creamy and neutral, a good in-between.
